ACCOMMODATION
Green Hills offers rustic boutique-style accommodation for large groups in the heart of the spectacular South Burnett region of Queensland. The property is set on four acres of lush grounds and mature trees, nestled alongside the famous Brisbane Valley Rail Trail (BVRT). Flanked by the Blackbutt creek and only 100m from the centre of Blackbutt town, Green Hills is the epitome of a slice of the country life — that’s why we think out West is best.
the stable house
The heart of the Stable house is undoubtedly the stunning common area. Located in what was formerly the open stables at the South end of the structure. A warm inviting space, steeped in charm, cradled in timber has been carefully curated by the interior stylist owner of the property. The aroma of old timber and winter fires hangs in the air inviting guests to relax and unwind. Entering through the commanding rustic, hand crafted sliding doors, you are greeted by a beautiful cast iron enamel fireplace, vintage chandeliers, a charming kitchenette, a generous rustic dining table along with two comfortable sitting areas.
The rustic elegant kitchenette is suitable for breakfast, lunches and simple evening meals. We offer: A large double door fridge/freezer, a large electric frypan, rice cooker and an external BBQ. (We do not have a stove)
We encourage our guests to support local and order in or eat out at our wonderful local business.
The Stables are serviced by the renovated tack rooms to create 2 comfortable bathrooms featuring, recycled timber benches, antique tiles, concrete basins. During the day the bathrooms are lit by roof windows so you can watch the trees sway above you as you wash away the red dust of the South Burnett.
The Stable can comfortably accommodate 14 guests over 5 rooms. We offer three (3) double rooms (max 2 per room) and two (2) larger family rooms (max 4 per room).
The rate is $1250 per night for the entire stable house, with access to the three-acre grounds, 12m swimming pool and tennis court.

Within the Stables are two Family Rooms that accommodate up to four people per room. The family rooms are divided by sliding barn doors that can be locked or opened to suit guests requirements. They are comfortably furnished with nods to days-gone-by with vintage Australian art and rustic touches. Simple fresh linens and towels are provided.
Room 4 includes 1 x Queen Bed and 2 x Single Beds
Room 5 includes 1 x Queen Bed and 1 x Double Bunk

We also offer three individual rooms with double beds accommodating a maximum of 2 guests per room. All rooms are styled intentionally and simply to enhance the original charm of the heritage structure. A beautiful balance that reflects simple country comfort.
green hills cottage
Designed for couples, Green Hills Cottage is self-contained with an ensuite and breakfast making facilities in a quaint cottage setting. The cottage is separate from the Stable House, approximately 50m away.
The Cottage rate is $200 per night twin share. (Monday-Thursday ONLY)
